[Class 53.] Zinc containers for dry batteries are coated with lead on the outside. They may be made from lead-coated zinc bands by stamping or cutting out the walls and bottoms separately and soldering them together, or discs may be stamped from the bands and seamless containers made by drawing or rolling. Waste metal may be melted down to separate the zinc and lead which can be used again.
