372,951. Electric hand lamps. HAYTHORPE, P. S., 3, Thackeray Street, Kensington Square, London. May 16, 1931, Nos. 14564/31 and 2393/32. [Classes 75 (iii) and 75 (iv).] Supporting ; drums for taking up slack of electric leads.-An electric hand lamp comprises .a conical casing or reflector secured to a block carrying the lamp socket, a spool upon which the flex is wound when not in use, means for enclosing the casing and flex, and means for supporting the lamp when in use. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the flex 4 is wound on a spool 5 the spindle 6 of which is recessed to receive a plug 7, a second plug 10 engaging a clip 8 on a flange 9. The latter is adapted to form a closure for the casing 3 and is held in position by a pair of bent wire supporting frames 11 which are spring pivoted to the block 1. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the block 1 is formed integrally with a spool 13 which is made hollow to receive the lamp socket 14 and is adapted to be enclosed by a cap 16, the casing 3 being closed bv flat disc 17. A reflector 18 is provided. According to the Provisional Specifications the block is made of insulating material or aluminium.
