Abstract

363,658. Collision guards for road vehicles. MELIA, P., 3, Ryder's Row, Capel Street, Dublin: Sept. 22, 1930, No. 28196. [Class 103 (ii).] In a collision guard for motor-cars, bolts 3, or tubes 16 surrounding bolts 3, are slidably mounted in guides 4 on a bar 6 secured to the chassis and each carries between caps 2 a rubber or like buffer 1 and supports a carrier 8 for a bumper-bar or bars 9, the ends of which are connected to the outer bolts or tubes by springs 10. The bars are rigidly secured to the carriers 8 by clamp-members 14 on the bolts 3.
