Abstract
342,162. Cartons made from special blanks. MONEY, G. T., South Creake, Fakenham, Norfolk. Feb. 12, 1930, No. 4686. [Class 18.] A carton for safety-razor blades and similar articles is made from a blank of the shape shown in the Figure. The blades or similar articles are placed in the centre space G, and the flap F is folded at G2 and F1 to lie on top of them. The flap E is then folded at E1, G1 to lie on top of the flap F, and the small flaps, A1, B1, C1, C2 are folded around the sides of the contents. The small flaps A, B are folded over on to the flap D which is then folded at G3, D1 to lie on top of the flap E. The remaining flap C is folded at G4, C3 and is inserted between the flap D and the small flaps A, B. An adhesive seal is placed across the thumb hole in the flap D, connecting the flaps C, D, and closing the package. The carton thus formed has at least two thicknesses of card protecting the edges of the blade and has five thicknesses of card parallel to the blades and resisting crushing.
