Abstract

337,583. Packs (1925), Ltd., and Cozens, L. Oct. 18, 1929. Contents, delivering; fittings, internal.-A storage cabinet for cartons of circular crosssection comprises one or more compartments for stacks of cartons each compartment having a yielding or expansible aperture in the base through which the cartons are withdrawn, and a separate compartment for carton lids which can be removed therefrom one at a time from outside the cabinet. As shown, the cabinet is divided into two compartments B, B<1> for the nested cartons C and the circular aperture at the base of each compartment is provided with a yielding annulus E of flexible or elastic material held in position by a retaining plate E<1> or with two similar segmental members F held in position by plates F'. Separate compartments G, J are provided for carton lids G<1> and sealing discs J<1>, the compartment G having a slot G<3> through which a lid G' can be removed by a finger opening H<1> and the compartment J having a sliding drawer J<2> by which the discs J<1> can be removed one at a time. The discharge apertures of the carton compartments may be provided with hinged flaps or with slidable members which move when a carton is to be withdrawn.
