Casings.-The casing of a coin-freed vending machine comprises an inner case 12, Fig. 4, open at the front and having two slots 15 on the sides at the bottom to receive pins 10 projecting inwardly from the bottom of the sides 8 of an outer case 7. The outer case is open at the back and the bottom, and normally fits over the innercase with its top 9 resting on the top 13 of the inner case, the two parts being secured together by a look 17. When access is desired to the interior of the machine for refilling, emptying the cash receptacle, or any other purpose, the lock 17 is unlocked and the outer case is swung about the pins 10 to an horizontal position as shown in Fig. 4. It is then pushed back until the pins reach the rear ends of the slots 15 and can be turned to hang downwards as shown in Fig. 6, the back wall 11 of the inner case being stepped at 16 to accommodate the end of the front wall of the outer case. The cases may be made from single castings and a single rod connecting the walls 8 of the outer case may take the place of the two pins 10.
