Abstract
325,767. Twigg, R. E., and Watts, J. R., (trading as Watts, J.). June 13, 1929. Addition to 244,927. Tie presses.-A tie press comprises a holder in the form of two or more boards pressed apart by spring the tie being folded on the boards which are then inserted into an openended box. The boards d, e, Fig. 2 may be pressed apart by longitudinally arranged springs such as g, and an additional hinged flap e<2> may be provided for holding the end of the tie. The boards may be connected by springs so as to open book fashion their inner surfaces having pads which grip the middle part of the tie between them when the boards are closed. The box a, Fig. 1, may be made of wood or resilient metal and may have bound sides b<2>.
