Rolling; roller tables.-A two high mill for rolling thin sheets is provided with live roller tables on each side, the tables being lifted to return the sheet over the top roll and being provided with electric, gas &c. heating means g, g<1> to maintain the sheet at rolling temperature. The rollers are driven by separate motors f, l and are in sets above and below the sheet to enclose it and reduce cooling by radiation. The rollers can be separated to facilitate entry of the sheet and the mounting for the set k serves also as a stripper.
