Abstract

309,915. Beardaley & Wolcott Manufacturing Co., (Assignees of Wolcott, F. E.). April 17, 1928, [Convention date]. Stropping - apparatus for razor blades consists of a frame 1 carrying stropping- rollers 3 and having pivoted thereon covers 2 carrying rollers 4, the rollers being driven, through gearing 5, by a handle 6. The blade 7 is positioned on members 8 one or both of which are normally held in elevated position by springs 9 in tubular members 11 carried bv the frame 1, and during sharpening, the blade is pressed upon the rollers 3 by the rollers 4, the covers 2 resting on the members 8 and being pressed by the fingers to give the desired pressure, and to an extent limited by contact of the adjacent edges of the covers.
