Abstract
304,794. I. G. Farbenindustrie AKt.- Ges. Jan. 26, 1928, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Thioindigo dyes.-An active a-derivative of 5 : 6-benzo-7-chlor-3-oxy-1-thionaphthene is condensed, in a solvent, with 4: 5-benzo-3-oxy-1- thionaphthene, or alternatively an active a-derivative, e.g. an anil or bromide, of the latter is similarly condensed with 5: 6-benzo-7-ohlor-3- oxy-1-thionaphthene. In an example, the p-dimethylamino-a-anil of 4: 5-benzo-3-oxy-1-thionaphthene is condensed, in glacial acetic acid solution, with 5 : 6-benzo-7-chlor-3-oxy-1-thionaphthene. The product dyes cotton currant tints.
