Abstract

278,668. Westermann, H. P. H. Oct. 8, 1926, [Convention date]. Stringed instruments, tailpieces for.-In violins, the end peg to which the tail-piece or the like is secured is made hollow. A brass tube may be inserted in the neck a of the peg and may be extended as a lining also of the knob portion b. The tube may also extend from the neck of the peg. The unlined peg may be made of brass. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers also to violas, guitars, mandolins, lutes &c. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
