Abstract

Vehicle lamps; search-lights.-In a lamp for lighting public buildings or places and for vehicles &c., the reflector comprises a. rear concave portion, a convex front portion, and intermediate parts for causing a gradual transition from the rear to the front portion, the light source being arranged between the centre of curvature and the focus of the rear portion. Fig. 1 shows a reflector for flood lighting comprising a rear concave part 2, an annular concave part 4, a conical part 3, an annular curved part 7 and a wideangled conical part 8, the parts gradually merging into one another. In a bell-shaped reflector for a vehicle lamp, an intermediate cylindrical part is only slightly enlarged at its forward end, where it joins a convex mirror of relatively small angle,.
