Abstract

263,139. Soc. Anon. des Anciens Etablissements Panhard et Levassor. Dec. 17, 1925, [Convention date]. Filtering. - To give warning of injury to the main filter, through which gas passes from a producer to an internalcombustion engine, a secondary filter, consisting of a very fine sieve, is provided which is rapidly clogged by impurities passing the main filter. The apparatus comprises a body 1 to which the gas is admitted through a dust collector 4, closed by a plug 5, and a grid 3. The main filter consists of a cylindrical piece of fabric 8 mounted on discs 9 and is removable through a cover 2. The pipe 6 leading to the engine has openings 7 for the gas, and the secondary filter comprises a conical wire gauze member 10.
