Abstract
This invention discloses an automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging, including a mounting rack (1), a carton conveyor (2), a foam conveyor (3), two of width adjusting mechanisms (4), two of carton side stopper mechanisms (5), a foam front stopper mechanism (6), a filling horizontal movement mechanism (7) and a filing actuator (8). The invention aligns the foam with the cartons and fills the cartons automatically.

AN AUTOMATIC FILLING APPARATUS OF FOAM IN CARTON
PACKAGING
Field of the Invention
[0001] The invention relates to the technical field of packaging machinery, in particular to an automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging
Background of the Invention
[0002] In the packaging field, carton packaging is one of the most common packaging methods and types; according to different products to be packaged, the cartons are processed into cartons in corresponding sizes and structures; some products are only put into the cartons to finish their packaging, however, for those fragile products that can not stand striking, some air bag covers or foam filling are put into the carton for fixing and protecting the products; in existing technique, manual operation is required in foam filing process, that means, foams are filled into the cartons by workers; as foam filling aims to provide protection for the products, so the pre-processed foams are suitable for the sizes of the package cartons, which is inconvenient for workers to do job, therefore, there are problems like inconvenient operation, low filing efficiency and labor-consuming for traditional artificial foam filing.
[0003] Based on above-stated problems, this invention discloses an automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging.
Summary of the Invention
[0004] The technical problem to be solved by the invention is to provide an automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging so as to overcome the problems existing in the prior art.
[0005] The following technical plan is adopted by the invention to solve the above-mentioned technical problems: an automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging comprises a mounting rack, a carton conveyor, a foam conveyor, two of width adjusting mechanisms, two of carton side stopper mechanisms, a foam front stopper mechanism, a filling horizontal movement mechanism and a filing actuator, wherein the mounting rack comprises a bottom base, three rows of vertical columns and a head extrusion frame, wherein three rows of the vertical columns are fixedly mounted on the bottom base by welding and each row of the vertical columns has two, and the head extrusion frame are fixedly and horizontally mounted on top ends of three rows of the vertical columns by welding, and the carton conveyor are fixed on the bottom base, and the foam conveyor is horizontally and fixedly mounted on adjacent two rows of the vertical columns, and the foam conveyor is vertically arranged relative to the carton conveyor, and two of the width adjusting mechanisms are correspondingly mounted on opposite two of side walls of the bottom base, wherein two of the width adjusting mechanisms are symmetrically arranged on the carton conveyor, wherein two of the carton side stopper mechanisms are correspondingly arranged on two of the width adjusting mechanisms and two of the carton side stopper mechanisms are arranged in mirror image, and the foam front stopper mechanism is fixedly mounted on the foam conveyor and the foam front stopper mechanism is located on a front position of the foam conveyor, and the filling horizontal movement mechanism is arranged on the head extrusion frame, wherein the filling horizontal movement mechanism comprises a moving frame that reciprocates in parallel way relative to a conveying direction of the carton conveyor, wherein the filing actuator is mounted on the moving frame, [0006] Wherein the carton side stopper mechanisms comprise side clamping driving cylinders, distance blocks, side blocking carriers, rotation driving cylinders and six of side absorption chucks, wherein the side clamping driving cylinders are fixedly mounted on the width adjusting mechanisms through a bolt, wherein output directions of the side clamping driving cylinders are vertical to a conveying direction of the carton conveyor, wherein the distance blocks are fixedly connected on output terminals of the side clamping driving cylinders, wherein the distance blocks are L-shaped, and the side blocking carriers are on L-shaped plates and higher than the carton conveyor, wherein the side blocking carriers comprise side blocking plates hinged on front ends of the distance blocks and front blocking plates vertically formed in the side blocking plates, wherein the rotation driving cylinders are horizontally hinged between side walls of the distance blocks and outer side walls of the side blocking plate, wherein four of the side absorption chucks are evenly distributed and fixedly mounted on the side blocking plates, and two of the side absorption chucks are vertically distributed and fixedly mounted on the front blocking plates, and six of the side absorption chucks are horizontally extending into inner side corners of the side blocking carriers; [0007] Wherein the filing actuator comprises a first-stage lifting cylinder, a distance plate, two of second-stage lifting cylinders, a cross filling frame and four of pick and place chucks, wherein first-stage lifting cylinder are fixedly mounted on a top center position of a moving frame, wherein the distance plate are located below the moving frame and fixedly connected with an output terminal of the first-stage lifting cylinder, wherein two of the second-stage lifting cylinders are fixedly mounted on a top end of the distance plate through the bolt, and two of the second-stage lifting cylinders are symmetrically arranged with respect to the first-stage lifting cylinder, wherein the cross filling frame is located below the distance plate and horizontally fixed on output terminals of two of the second-stage lifting cylinders, wherein four of the pick and place chucks are evenly distributed and vertically fixed on the cross filling frame.

[0014] The benefits of the invention are as follows: [0015] This invention discloses an automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging, in this invention, vertical displacement of the carton conveyor and the foam conveyor realizes an automatic conveying for cartons and foams, the carton side stopper mechanisms are used to block the cartons and then open and fix the cartons for foams filing; the foam front stopper mechanisms adjust the distance between the carton side stopper mechanisms and perform an automatic centering and position matching functions for foams, so that the picked foams can be put onto the cartons and fully aligned with the cartons, and then the filing actuator can automatically finish the foam picking and filing in the help of the filling horizontal movement mechanism; from the above-stated, this invention is able to realize an automatic foam filing for cartons and a streamline works, which solves the problem that inconvenient foam filling by artificial force and low processing efficiency.

- Claims An automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging, comprising: a mounting rack; a carton conveyor; a foam conveyor; two of width adjusting mechanisms; two of carton side stopper mechanisms; a foam front stopper mechanism; a filling horizontal movement mechanism and a filing actuator, wherein the mounting rack comprising: a bottom base; three rows of vertical columns and a head extrusion frame, wherein three rows of the vertical columns are fixedly mounted on the bottom base by welding and each row of the vertical columns has two, and the head extrusion frame are fixedly and horizontally mounted on top ends of three rows of the vertical columns by welding, and the carton conveyor are fixed on the bottom base, and the foam conveyor is horizontally and fixedly mounted on adjacent two rows of the vertical columns, and the foam conveyor is vertically arranged relative to the carton conveyor, and two of the width adjusting mechanisms are correspondingly mounted on opposite two of side walls of the bottom base, wherein two of the width adjusting mechanisms are symmetrically arranged on the carton conveyor, wherein two of the carton side stopper mechanisms are correspondingly arranged on two of the width adjusting mechanisms and two of the carton side stopper mechanisms are arranged in mirror image, and the foam front stopper mechanism is fixedly mounted on the foam conveyor and the foam front stopper mechanism is located on a front position of the foam conveyor, and the filling horizontal movement mechanism is an-anged on the head extrusion frame, wherein the filling horizontal movement mechanism comprising: a moving frame that reciprocates in parallel way relative to a conveying direction of the carton conveyor, wherein the filing actuator is mounted on the moving frame, wherein the carton side stopper mechanisms comprising side clamping driving cylinders; distance blocks; side blocking carriers; rotation driving cylinders and six of side absorption chucks, wherein the side clamping driving cylinders are fixedly mounted on the width adjusting mechanisms through a bolt, wherein output directions of the side clamping driving cylinders are vertical to a conveying direction of the carton conveyor, wherein the distance blocks are fixedly connected on output terminals of the side clamping driving cylinders, wherein the distance blocks are L-shaped, and the side blocking carriers are on L-shaped plates and higher than the carton conveyor, wherein the side blocking carriers comprise side blocking plates hinged on front ends of the distance blocks and front blocking plates vertically formed in the side blocking plates, wherein the rotation driving cylinders are horizontally hinged between side walls of the distance blocks and outer side walls of the side blocking plate, wherein four of the side absorption chucks are evenly distributed and fixedly mounted on the side blocking plates; two of the side absorption chucks vertically distributed and fixedly mounted on the front blocking plates, six of the side absorption chucks horizontally extending into inner side corners of the side blocking carriers; wherein the filing actuator comprising: a first-stage lifting cylinder, a distance plate; two of second-stage lifting cylinders; a cross filling frame and four of pick and place chucks, wherein first-stage lifting cylinder are fixedly mounted on a top center position of a moving frame, wherein the distance plate are located below the moving frame and fixedly connected with an output terminal of the first-stage lifting cylinder, wherein two of the second-stage lifting cylinders are fixedly mounted on a top end of the distance plate through the bolt, two of the second-stage lifting cylinders symmetrically arranged with respect to the first-stage lifting cylinder, wherein the cross filling frame is located below the distance plate and horizontally fixed on output terminals of two of the second-stage lifting cylinders, wherein four of the pick and place chucks are evenly distributed and vertically fixed on the cross filling frame.
- 2. The automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging defined in claim 1, wherein the width adjusting mechanisms comprising: two of earboards vertically fixed on side walls of the bottom base by welding, two of traverse guide rods horizontally fixed between two of the earboards, a width adjusting cylinder horizontally fixed on one of the earboards and a suspension arm base fixedly connected with an output terminal of the width adjusting cylinder, wherein two of the traverse guide rods are vertically and symmetrically distributed with respect to the width adjusting cylinder, wherein the suspension arm base is slidably mounted on two of the traverse guide rods, wherein a side clamping driving cylinders is fixedly mounted on an upper end surface of the suspension arm base

The automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging defined in claim 1, wherein the foam front stopper mechanism comprising: a front blocking adjustment cylinder horizontally fixed on a front side end of the foam conveyor by the bolt and a front blocking slide plate fixedly connected with an output terminal of the front blocking adjustment cylinder, wherein the front blocking slide plate is slidably arranged on the foam conveyor and located above a conveying surface of the foam conveyor,

The automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging defined in claim 3, wherein two of bevel blocks are defined on the side walls of the front blocking slide plate facing the conveying direction of the foam conveyor, wherein two of the bevel blocks are distributed on two side ends of the front blocking slide plate and arranged in mirror image; inclined surfaces of the bevel blocks at angle of to degrees with side walls of the front blocking slide plate, wherein guide pulleys are vertically and rotatably arranged on each of the bevel blocks

The automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging defined in claim 1, wherein the filling horizontal movement mechanism further comprises a guiding shaft, a driving motor and a screw, wherein the guiding shaft is horizontally fixed between the head extrusion frame, wherein the driving motor is fixedly mounted on an outer side wall of the head extrusion frame, wherein the screw is horizontally and rotatably mounted on the head extrusion frame; whereby the guiding shaft and the screw are paralleled to the conveying direction of the carton conveyor, and the screw is fixedly connected with an output shaft of the driving motor, wherein moving frame is in threaded connection with the screw and the moving frame is slidably connected with the guiding shaft

The automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging defined in claim 1, wherein two of the vertical guide rods are arranged on a top end of the cross filling frame, wherein guiding sleeves slidably connected with corresponding one of the vertical guide rods are arranged on the distance plate.
- 7. The automatic filling apparatus of foam in carton packaging defined in claim 1, wherein both of the carton conveyor and the foam conveyor are belt conveyors.
