Abstract

256,750. Brown, C. June 29. 1925. Bakers' ovens.-In an oven including a pair of parallel chains connected at intervals by rods to which one end of each of a series of plates is pivotally connected and having means whereby the plates are maintained always in horizontal position with the same side upwards, a member 2 on each plate 1 is formed with an openended slot 2a which is engaged by a pin 3 carried by a disc 4, or an endless chain, so arranged and driven that each plate is maintained horizontal as it passes from the upper to the lower run. Each plate is allowed to tilt at one end of the lower run, the amount of tilting being limited by a plate 8. The plates are heated by gas burners 10<a>, or each plate may be heated electrically in known manner. Asbestos sheets 9, 10 may be provided to retain the heat. Specification 190,768 is referred to.
