Grips, roller type. - The fastenings means for a vertically adjustable seat of the kind comprising a hollow casing 18 on the leg 15 having converging internal walls and containing loose balls or rollers 20 to wedge between the walls and the seat support 12, and in which the balls are freed bv inverting the seat and then slightly pulling downward the support 12, is characterized by the provision of a part 12<B> of reduced cross-section which allows the downward pulling of the support, so as to free the balls, even when the support had been held in its extreme adjusted position. Tightfitting dished washers 19 allow the seat to be carried about by its seating member without readily disturbing its adjusted position.
