Abstract

A hair braiding aid that assists the user to braid hair, the aid has three coloured arms each with a clamp for holding a section of hair. The arms move in a manner that allows the hair sections to be braided when the user manually moves the arms in a selected manner. The clamps may have rubber (2, fig 2) or plastic teeth to grip the hair and may be released by a button (4, fig 3) on the device. Preferably the device has a comb (5, Fig 4) that is detachably attached to the base of the device to allow hair to be dividing prior to placing the divided hair in one of the clamps. The bottom of the device may have a rubber or velvet panel to prevent the device from slipping when it is placed on the head of the person whose hair is being braided. The aid may also have four fingers grips 1 in the form of dents or holes.

Description

French braid fingers The device French braid fingers is designed for the purpose of doing so called French braids or simple braids. It is able to do any type of hair styles that involves a standard three strand French plat or standard plat. For example some of the styles it can assist with are: Side braid hair Basic French braid Double French braids French braid head band Feather waterfall Ladder braid Reverse French braid Cornrow braids And many more.

The device is designed to take the skill out of doing some of the most fancy and classic hair styles done on ladies hair. At the moment it takes a great deal of training and skill and even then most people can't perfect the various French braid hair styles like above. For people that are able to carry out the styles like hair stylists, even they struggle performing it out on their own hair. This device will allow people to style their own hair as well as style others hair effortlessly and with speed.

It is a plastic rectangle shaped box device with 4 dent/holes on the top for a person to hold the device in place.

The clamps have rubber or even plastic teeth which grip the hair in place. The bottom arm is where the hair gets fed and it has a gap which you feed the hair into, The gab is created by a plastic and rubber smaller arm which pushes up and down. As more and more hair is added it expands the gap by mowing down, The clamps are shut by pushing towards each other and a small button on the device is pushed to release them.

The device also has about four comb bristles at the bottom which can be attached in various distances at the bottom of the device to allow the partition of hair into a block (the size is up to the operator).

Once the bristles have been used to divide the hair they will be removed. The hair strand from the block of hair that has been divided, are then used to feed the arms of the device for braiding.

The bottom of the device has rubber or velvet panel so that it is not too slippers' when placed on the head.

The device has three hair clamping arms coming out of the front which manually need to be moved up and down once hair is fed. The three arms will be colour coded, the middle one will be yellow, right green and left arm red.

There is a rhythm that the arms follow this is a standard plating rhythm.

All three colours down Red up then feed hair, Yellow needs to be pushed to the right Push red down, yellow becomes right, red becomes middle and green is still left Push green up and feed hair Push red to the left, and push green down to middle. Yellow is still right Push yellow up and feed hair Push green to the right and then push yellow in middle. Red is left now.

Repeat a gain and again until the length of the pattern is achieved.

As the arms move in this motion a plat begins to take shape. However if hair is being fed from the portioned block from left to right and vice versa then a different pattern called a French braid begins to take shape. Key:

1. Four holes for gripping 2, Rubber Teeth 3. Bolder line this is a separate plastic and rubber gripper am 4. Button pushed to release the clamps 5, Hair dividers(removable) 6. The white sections show the divisions of the hair

Claims (2)
