Bodies. - To prevent damage due to distortion, the longitudinal or transverse body frame members and intermediate bracing members, are either reduced locally at a point intermediate of their ends or provided with a flexible connection at that point. As shown, a body frame comprising longitudinal base members l, cross-members q, roof-members d, and upright members s is provided in which certain of the members are in two parts joined by flexible connections I - - IV, such as spring blades, rubber, or torsional springs. Instead of dividing the members, they may be reduced locally as shown in Fig. 2.
