Abstract

A system comprising a subsea structure defining an interior of the system, the structure subject to a water current; a holder exterior to the subsea structure, the holder comprising at least one guide member, the guide member comprising at least one bearing surface; and a vortex induced vibration suppression device exterior to the subsea structure, a portion of the suppression device interfacing with the bearing surface, so that the suppression device is adapted to weathervane about the subsea structure.
