Abstract
The invention is a portable unit including a battery 4 and an inverter 3 and means for charging 6 from a vehicle alternator, via the cigarette lighter or via wiring straight to the vehicle's electrics. A protective outer casing allows the unit to be used outdoors. A retractable handle allows easy carrying. The unit may have 3 pin power outlet ports 2 with on/off switches 1.
Description
Description
Eco Volt is a portable and environmentally friendly battery that charges from the excess electrical current generated from your vehicle. The product can be charged from the vehicles cigarette lighter with a cable adaptor or via wiring straight to the vehicles electrics If wired to the vehicles electrics the product is placed in the corner of the boot where the connecting charging cable runs to and plugged into via the charging port at the back of the product. This option is more convenient in terms of space than charging via the cigarette lighter and keeping the product in one of the footwells.
Eco volt will charge from excess electrical current created from the vehicles alternator while it is in use. Once charged indicated by a charge level light the product can easily be removed and used where it is needed e.g. outdoors with the protective outercasing for vacuuming, power washing your car and electrical tyre inflators. Any D.I.Y purpose or gardening. Using Eco Volt by directly plugging appliances into it eliminates the need for an extension lead.
Indoors the product can be used for any appliance purpose, particularly if there are no power points i.e the attick or basement.
The unit itself is finished stylishly in white U.P.V.C with the outer removable casing coming in a range of colours and finishes. On the main unit there is a push release handle on top in the centre so it can easily be carried and the handle retracted when not needed.
The robust outer casing simply slots over the main unit and is secured and released by two catches either side of the bottom. The casing improves durability and prevents water entering the power outlets.
The main benefits of Eco Volt are:-
Portable
Stylish Convenient Easy to use Saves grid electricity With Eco Volt having the above attributes it should be more appealing and used on a larger scale than the conventional power inverter (the nearest product to Eco Volt) If Eco Volt is used on a wide scale a substantial amount of grid electricity can be saved.
