Abstract

The present invention relates to a flotation device for supporting a load in water. In particular, the present invention relates to a convenient way of transporting a load on, for example, a boat or barge. The load may be carried in a skip which may be supported by a frame. The frame comprises an opening for receiving the skip whereby a passageway is defined within the frame enabling the skip to pass through the frame and into the fluid underneath. The frame prevents the entire skip from passing through the frame such that the frame and skip float in the fluid.
