Abstract

A 13 amp plug cover 3 and an attachable cable cover 5 or 6 can be manufactured in a range of colours and patterns. The plug cover 3 can be slotted over and clipped to an existing mains plug 1. The attachable cable cover 5 or 6 can be cut to length and can be fixed over an existing cable 2 and attached to the plug cover 3 at the slotted cable entry 4.

Description

Title: Electrical Cover
Background:
This invention relates to an electrical cover system to co-ordinate with surrounding decor.
People often decorate their surroundings with colour co-ordination in mind. They change many aspects of decoration including electrical switches and socket outlets.
However, there is currently no easy way to match I 3amp plugs to a new colour scheme without changing the plug, even then the choice of plug colours is limited.
Statement of Invention:
To overcome this, the present invention proposes a l3amp plug cover and attachable cable cover that can be manufactured in a variety of colours and patterns to suit individual requirements and tastes.
Advantages: The coloured or patterned plug covers and attachable cable covers would allow people the choice to co-ordinate their l3amp electrical plugs with the rest of their surroundings.
Preferably the plug covers would have the facility to fix onto existing I 3amp plugs.
Preferably the plug cover would have the facility to attach a cable cover.
Preferably the attachable cable cover could be cut to any length.
Preferably the attachable cable covers would be flexible.
Preferably the plug covers and attachable cable covers would be manufactured from a none conductive material.
Preferably the plug covers and attachable cable covers could be manufactured in a range of colours or patterns.
Preferably the plug covers when fitted, would not obstruct any on/off switches on the socket outlet
Introduction to Drawings:
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 The electrical plug cover 3, would be attached by pushing onto and existing I 3amp plug 1.
The electrical plug cover 3, would have a slotted cable entry 4 that could pass over an existing plug cable 2.
The attachable cable cover 5, could be cut to any desired length.
The attachable cable coverS, would be securely fixed at cable entry 4.
Another version of an attachable cable cover is shown as 6.
Figure 2 This drawing shows an existing l3amp double switched socket outlet 1 with a pair of electrical plug covers 3 in position, covering existing l3amp plugs.
An example of an attachable cable cover 5 is shown on the left, another example of an attachable cable cover 6 is shown on the right.The attachable cable covers 5 and 6 are shown covering existing I3arnp plug cables 2.
Each attachable cable coverS and 6 are securely fixed over the slofted cable entries 4.

Claims (4)

  1. Claims: I A cover for I3amp plugs and attachable cable covers that can be manufactured in a range of colours and patterns.
  2. 2 A cover for i3amp plugs according to claim 1, in which an attachable cable cover can be easily fixed.
  3. 3 An attachable cable cover according to claim 2, that can be cut to any length.
  4. 4 A cover for l3amp plugs according to claim 1, that can be easily attached over most sizes of I 3amp plugs.
