Abstract

A security document or device is provided which includes at least one area formed from a transparent plastics material which is exposed on at least one side to form a window (38) or half-window (18), and at least one colour shifting ink composition (20; 37) applied in at least part of the window (38) half-window (18). The colour shifting ink provides at least one colour shift between a first colour and a second distinct colour depending upon the viewing angle.
