Golf clubs.-In a golf club having a head of steel or other metal, the impact face consists of a sheet of aluminium inset in a wide shallow recess. At shown in Fig. 1. applied to a mashie, the aluminium inset 11 is driven into an undercut recess wider at the sole of the club than at the top, and may be further secured by rivets 12 or bv brazing. When applied to a cleek putter, a sighting groove with an inlaid spot at each side is made across the top edge of the aluminium inset. In the cleek putter shown in Fig. 4, the aluminium inset is formed with a hump 15 carrying a sighting spot 17.
