Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores. - An ordinary hard rubber tyre a is formed with spaced transverse apertures in which are secured tubular plugs c of or more resilient rubber. The tyre body may be formed by extrusion, or by building-up on the foundationband b; and the transverse apertures may be formed by drilling. The vulcanizing-mould may be fitted with plugs to maintain the apertures c<1>.
