Abstract

An absorbent liner which fits inside a child's pants during potty training. The liner follows on from nappies and gives protection against accidents. The liner is less bulky than pull-up pants. The liner may have a raised edging and may be fixed to the pants with an adhesive strip and tabs. May provide comfort and protection for small children.

Description Liner
Once out,f pappies and onto the potty alot of young children leave going to the toilet until the very last minute, this results in drips or smears. I2ven children beginning school don't always want to interrupt play by going to the toilet. A child liner would soak up all small leaks that often occur during a last minute rush to the toilet. They would protect against smells and soreness with an odour control and lock away top sheet.
A child liner would benefit children during potty training and also those who feel a little unsure of moving onto the toilet, which can be a big thing for a small child. Diarrhoea is also very common when children are poorly, at present we only have the choice of puttting our chiRlren back into pappies or dealing with repeatedly changing soiled clothes. A liner would benefit both mother and child.
A child liner would fit just below the rim of the pants at both front and back fig 2 i. It would fit both boys and girls from potty training age upwards.
The outside of the liner made with a raised edging of a non-absorbent material fig 1 a would encourage leaks into the absorbent centre ifig 1 l, i, preventing larger accidents from soiling the clothes. Although thinner, the liner would be maple from basic Happy materials but with and odour conyrol and lock away top sheet to protect the skin.
Tags at the crouch would help to keep the liner flat while the child is playing and sticky back from front to back helps to keep it in place ifig 3 a and b].
A choice of basic colours would also be an advantage its they would blend into the clothes, therefore giving older children more lescression.
An example of a childs liner is shown by the accoml)anylllg c.rawlugs.
Fig 1 shows the flat out shape a liner would need to be to accomodate a small childs neecls.
Fig 2 shows the fit of the liner once inside of the pants, the rim of the pants shown as a Fig 3 shows the back of the liner.
