Abstract
Recycling bins for the separation of waste material both within and outside domestic/commercial premises. A recycling bin for internal use (Fig 1) for example in a kitchen that has numerous removable inserts with handles to allow waste to be separated and a recycling bin for exterior use (Fig 5) comprising separate bins that may be locked together (3, Fig 5) for storage and transportation. The recycling bins may have lids that have a magnetic locking device (2, Fig 1; 4, Fig 5) and display the storage use by the use of colour and labels (3, Fig 1; 2/3, Fig 6). Each of the bins may have a child locking system to prevent access to the interior of the bins that requires manual dexterity to open the locking system (Fig 9. Fig 10) that is too difficult for a child to operate. The interior bin may have an optional roll top lid when the bin is to be used under a kitchen unit. The magnetic catch of the bin may be used with a magnetic strip that is attached to a wall to allow the bin lid to be supported when the bin lids are opened. Each of the exterior bins may have a separate handle and wheels to allow versatility for movement and storage.
