Spectacles.-Means for connecting the lenses of spectacles and pincenez to the bridges and sides comprise elongated metal plates 8 provided with projecting studs 7 of less thickness than that of the lenses, and tapped holes 8, the studs 7 fitting recesses in the lenses and the tapped holes 8 receiving screws 10 passing through the lenses. A similar construction may be utilized for securing the metal bridges or sides to tortoise-shell or like spectacle rims.
