Fittings, internal.-The spring-controlled clip of the parent Specification is arranged with its bearing or fulcrum on the sides or edges of the case instead of on the inner surface or face thereof. As shown in Fig. 2, the side members b, c of the clip a are pivoted at d to the sides or edges of the case f and the spring-control consists of a pair of springs g, h secured to the case and having loops i engaging pins j projecting from the side mem- Lers of the clip; the pins j may be arranged below the pivots d. A push rod l engaging a slot k in the side member c of the clip and having a finger piece m may be used for partly throwing back the clip; the spring-control in this case consists of a spiral spring wound around the pivot d and attached to the clip and the case. In another form the clip itself functions as a spring, the side members thereof riding over cam surfaces on lugs forming the bearings for the side members. The clip may carry a roller which contacts with the articles in the case.
