Abstract

A glove has strengthened areas that restrain wrist movement in specific directions, such as the unwanted wrist movement during a golf swing. As shown the glove comprises an extended wrist section 3, incorporating a strengthened section 2 across the underside of the wrist to encourage less hand collapse, and a strengthened section 1 at the thumb side of the wrist to encourage less wrist curvature. The strengthened areas are formed with a light-weight material.

Description

STRENGTHENED GOLF GLOVE This invention relates to a strengthened golf glove.

Golf gloves are worn to improve the grip of a golf club.

Other than this there is, as yet, no additional advantages in wearing a golf glove. The following enhancement to the glove will reduce unnecessary movement and thereby promote a better swing action.

According to the present invention there is provided a strengthened golf glove comprising a lengthened glove with added sections restricting the bending of the wrist and hand.

A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure I shows in perspective the strengthened glove with a section encouraging less wrist curvature (1). Also the lengthened glove (3).

Figure 2 shows in perspective the strengthened glove with a section encouraging less hand collapse (2) and wrist curvature (1). Also the lengthened glove (3).

Figure 3 shows in perspective the strengthened glove with a section encouraging less hand collapse ( 2). Also the lengthened glove (3).

Referring to the drawing the strengthened glove comprises of additional strengthened sections (1 and 2) sown into/onto the glove. Gloves may have both or either of these sections added, depending on the desired effect.

A light - weight material will be used to provide resistance if the movement is in these planes.

Claims (4)

1. A strengthened golf glove comprising additional strengthened sections, a better means of controlling the unwanted movement of the wrist and hand in a certain plane(s),during a golf swing, resulting in a better golf swing.

2. A strengthened golf glove extended to the length of where typically a watch strap would sit on the arm, to accommodate these additional sections.

3. A strengthened golf glove that will provide pressure on the hand or wrist if moved into the unwanted swing plane(s).

4. A strengthened golf glove, as claimed in Claim 1, can have one or both sections, dependent on the area of restriction needed.
