Abstract

A stand-on exerciser comprises an elongate body with an arcuate underside, a flat top and two foot-stops, the arcuate underside being so arranged that the apparatus rocks about an axis transverse to its length and the platform is provided towards each end with a plurality of foot-stop locating positions, the foot-stops and the locating positions cooperating to provide adjustable foot positions. The apparatus may also incorporate a carrying handle and means to count the number of rocking motions.

Description

REVERSIBLE SEE-SAW EXERCISER This invention relates to a reversible see-saw exerciser. Hereafter referred to as, "exerciser".
Floor exercises have long been practised to promote physical and mental health and fitness.
This exerciser is a closely related alternative and accessory to the afore mentioned floor exercises, but developed on the see-saw principle of motion, being designed to reduce dangerous jarring of muscles and limbs.
The present invention comprises of an exerciser, in the form of a curved based oblong with a flat upper surface. The upper surface has re-locatable foot stops at or adjacent to the ends, and a means of carrying. The exerciser also has provision for a counting device.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIG 1 The plan view illustrates the flat upper surface, with foot stops 1 : relocation points 2: counting device (not shown) 3 : Carrying Facility 4.
FIG 2 The side view also illustrates the flat upper surface, with foot stops 1, at or adjacent either end, and the curved base S.
FIG3 The end view illustrates the foot stops 1 at the top surface, and the curved underside with the carrying facility.

Claims (4)

  1. REVERSIBLE SEE-SAW EXERCISER
    CLAIMS 1. A reversible see-saw exerciser comprising an exerciser in the form of an oblong, the exerciser being curved on the underside to facilitate a rocking motion, and flat on the topside to provide a platform for standing or sitting exercises. The exerciser may be adapted for other additional sitting exercises by being upturned onto the foot stops.
  2. 2. A reversible see-saw exerciser as claimed in claim 1, wherein the exerciser is provided with at least one adjustable foot stop in order to vary the degrees of exercise intensity.
  3. 3. A reversible see- saw exerciser as claimed in claim 1, or claim 2, wherein at least one foot stop provided may be located into at least one location point.
  4. 4. Apparatus as claimed in claim 1 and substantially as herein described.
    4. A reversible see-saw exerciser as claimed in any preceding claim, wherein provision of any form of counting device may be fitted to any surface.
    5. A reversible see-saw exerciser as claimed in any preceding claim, wherein the exerciser is provided with at least one facility for carrying.
    REVERSIBLE SEE-SAW EXERCISER Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1. Exercise apparatus comprising an elongate body with an arcuate underside, a topside and two foot-stops. The arcuate underside being arranged so that the exercise apparatus rocks about an axis transverse to its length. The platform being provided towards each end with a respective plurality of foot-stop locating positions and the two foot-stops co-operating with the locating positions to provide adjustable foot positions. The foot-stops being of arcuate form to enable the exercise apparatus to be reversed and rock about an axis longitudinal to its width.
    2, Apparatus as claimed in claim 1, which additionally incorporates at least one carrying handle.
    3. Apparatus as claimed in claim 1, or 2, which comprises means to count the number of rocking motions.
