Abstract

A plant pot composed of a transparent or translucent material. The material of the plant pot may be plastics or glass. The plant pot enables the plant root structure and the moisture content of the growing medium contained in the pot to be ascertained by visual inspection.

Description

SEE THROUGH PLASTIC POT This invention relates to see through plastic plant pot.
SPECIFICATION Plant pots have for many years been made from clay which was easily breakable. In recent years, the use of plastic has improve the durability and strength of plant pots which last a lot longer.
BACKGROUND The present use of plastic plant pots is limited in that to be able to see if the plant needs repotting for example, you have to empty the plant out to see if it has become pot bound.
DESCRIPTION An example of the use of the invention will now be described by way of example and reference to drawing 1.
Drawing 1 shows the view seen through a transparent pot, it can be seen that the plant (Fig. 1) has roots (Fig.3) in the soil (Fig.3) which are becoming entangled into a root ball thus causing the plant to become root bound in the pot (Fig 4). It also helps to see when the plant is becoming dried out or waterlogged.

Claims (1)

  1. A transparent plant pot of various coloured plastic (or glass) including clear, of any shape
or size, thus allowing instantaneous examination of plant root condition, excessive root growth, waterlogging and soil for root eating parasites.
