Ventilators.-One or more door panels 18 have insect-proof ventilation screens fixed therein and are adapted to be closed by a sliding wooden panel 11 housed in guideways in the vertical styles and hollow mullions 4 and panels 14. The panels may have spring-pressed catches 21<a> to hold them in position by engaging recesses in the vertical rails. or may be held by spring-pressed horizontal beading strips 13. The wooden panels may have stops 26 for the lowered positon or the handle 25 may act as a stop. When the invention is applied to an ordinary door, the sliding panels are housed in guide strips attached to the door.
