Abstract

An automatic strike device comprises inner and outer sleeves which in their extended position act as a spacer between two bungs which are initially pulled apart against the tome of a hollow elastic tube connecting the two bungs. The stored energy of the elastic tube is released by a trigger mechanism to allow the inner and outer sleeves to move to a retracted position to cause a strike. <IMAGE>

Description

These are the parts that will make up my invention called Quick Strike.
First the plastic peg will pass through the plastic screw bung and push into the end of the round hollow elastic, this will be repeated at the other end of the elastic. One of the screw bungs will be larger than the other.
The metal sleeve with the high ridge will act as a stop, you could have more than one stop.
The steel trigger mechanism will lock onto the high ridge by means of the trigger.
So the elastic will be stretched and when the metal sleeve is in place the trigger will lift up locking it in place against the high ridge, you could use more than one elastic. Thus being loaded and ready to strike by means of pressing down on the trigger.

Claims (13)

CLAIMS TECHNICAL THE QUICKSTRIKE WAS DESIGNED FOR FISHING JUST BELOW THE REASON SURFACE OF THE WATER. THAT IS WHERE THERE ARE LOTS OF GOOD FISH TO BE HAD, BUT THESE ARE OFTEN THE HARDEST FISH TO BE CAUGHT. THE REASON BEING, WHEN YOU CAST OUT AND THE BAIT HITS THE WATER THE FISH ARE THERE WAITING. THE SPEED THEY TAKE THE BAIT, YOU JUST DO NOT HAVE TIME TO TAKE UP THE SLACK LINE TO STRIKE. TECHNICAL THIS IS WHERE THE QUICKSTRIKE COMES INTO IT'S OWN. BY FEATURES PULLING FORWARD THE SECOND SECTION AND STRETCHING THE ELASTIC IN THE BUTT END UNTIL YOU CAN LOCK THE TRIGGER AGAINST THE TRIGGER STOP. NOW THE QUICKSTRIKE IS LOADED YOU ARE READY TO STRIKE AT THE SPEED THE FISH WILL TAKE THE BAIT. THE QUICKSTRIKE IS SO VERSATILE AND CAN BE ADAPTED FOR EITHER FLOAT, FEEDER LEAD, BREAM FISHING, LIGHT FISHING, FISHING CLOSE IN OR FAR OUT, FISHING STILL WATER OR FAST WATER, TROUT AND SALMON FISHING. TECHNICAL BECAUSE THE QUICKSTRIKE STRIKES "AUTOMATICALLY", ON EXAMPLE STRIKING, THE ROD RECOILS. THIS MEANS YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIFT THE ROD TO STRIKE. SO ALL THOSE GOOD SWIMS IN AWKWARD PLACES, UNDER LOW TREES, ETC., WILL BECOME A GOOD DAY OUT AND MAYBE A GOOD BAG OF FISH AND MAYBE A WORLD RECORD. CLAIMS REFERRING TO THE DRAWING ON SHEET NUMBER ONE, THESE ARE ALL THE PARTS THAT MAKE UP THE INVENTION CALLED THE QUICKSTRIKE. MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL - NUMBER ONE - THE NAME.
1. THE NAME "THE QUICKSTRIKE".
2. THE TRIGGER TUBE.
3. THE TRIGGER BRIDGE.
4. THE TRIGGER.
5. THE AXLE.
6. THE TRIGGER STOP TUBE GLUES INTO THE SECOND SECTION OF THE ROD OR POLE.
7. THE HEAVY DUTY ELASTIC. PUT ONE END THROUGH THE LOOP OF NUMBER 10, THE OTHER END THROUGH LOOP NUMBER 11 ABOUT ONE INCH EACH END. SEE FIGURE NUMBER 4 AND FIGURE NUMBER 2.
8. 6" OF 2st FOAM CLADDING TO CUSHION THE RECOIL.
9. BUTT END WASHER.
10. COPPER WIRE PLASTIC COATED. PUT NUMBER 10 THROUGH THE HOLES IN NUMBER 6 THAT TWIST THE ENDS OF THE WIRE TOGETHER TO FORM A LOOP. SEE FIGURE NUMBER 2.
11. COPPER WIRE PLASTIC COATED. PUT NUMBER 11 THROUGH THE HOLES IN NUMBER 9 THAT'S THE BUTT END WASHER. TWIST THE ENDS OF THE WIRE TOGETHER TO FORM A LOOP. SEE FIGURE NUMBER 2.
12. TAKE THE PLASTIC TIES AND WRAP
13. ONE AROUND EACH END OF THE HEAVY DUTY ELASTIC ONE IT'S PASSED THROUGH THE PLASTIC COATED COPPER WIRE. SEE FIGURE NUMBER 2.
SHEET NUMBER TWO SHOWS ALL PARTS ASSEMBLED TOGETHER READY TO BE GLUED INTO AND ONTO THE ROD OR POLE, GIVING YOU THE QUICKSTRIKE, THE DEVICE THAT STRIKES AUTOMATICALLY BY PRESSING THE TRIGGER. IT WILL STRIKE SIX TIMES FASTER THAN YOU CAN LIFT A ROD AND NO TANGLES.
