Abstract

An improved clamp (110) and mounting arrangement, particularly for connecting a starter scaffold pipe (30, 130) to a structural I-section beam (20), the clamp including first (160) and second (162) jaws connected by a base (164), with a pipe holder (112a, 112d) connected to the base (164), preferably pivotally. The mounting arrangement permits a starter scaffold pipe to be located parallel to the web (40) of the beam (20), with a pair of clamps according to the invention gripping facing beam flanges (18a, 18d), with adjustable clasping bolts (126) facing outwardly for easy access.
