Abstract

The radiator comprises electric elements in series with at least one booster element in parallel therewith. A thermostat switches off the booster element(s) when the required temperature is reached.

Description

Invention - Low Energy Space Heater Self contained radiator water/liquid filled-sealed operated by mains AC current for space heating. The unit is designed to work on the least amount of energy required to maintain a reasonable temperature.
The heating elements are used in series with booster elements in parallal combining to speed the heating process bringing the radiator to working temperature of 11sst to 1250F. Once the temperature reaches 1250F the booster elements are switched off and the element in series maintained the temperature reducing the energy requirement.
The elements are independent of each other but work together, each element is rated at 240 volts 154 watts at 0.64 amps which in turn gives greater control. The elements are insulated and sealed. The unit requires no pump it is self circulating and is completely independent except for power supply. The amount of energy required depends on the size of each radiator and with this system any size can be made to work in conjunction with drawings 1A/2A.
Benefits Simple to install.
No maintenance (except for occasional check on fluid level) No heat loss due to any transfer.
No central boiler required.
Working on low temperature reduces risk of burning or fire hazard.
Additional room thermostat can be fitted for better room temperature control.
Can be fitted anywhere and removed at any time for any purpose with very little difficulty.
Can be fitted in one dwelling removed and refitted in another.
Can be supplemented to existing heating system without upsetting the household.
