Description

DEMOUNTABLE TRAILERISED FORK LIFT TYPE VEHICLE USING THE TRAILER RUNNING GEAR This invention relates to a demountable trailerised fork lift type vehicle.
Demountable trailerised fork lift type vehicles are well known with most constructions being of a chassis type with load lift and power and control source permanently afixed.
The invention presented is of a chassis type with two main fetures, its trailerised position this will allow the trailer to be used as a trailer, also its demountable state this will allow the trailer running gear to be used as a fork lift type vehicle.
According to the present mode of loading/unloading such a vehicle would be by way of on site fork lift/crane found at the loads destination/source, or by way of separate on board fork lift/crane, the crane may be fitted to the centre of the trailer load area, or the fork lift may be fitted to the back of the trailer, these types of separate vehicles may add to the vehicles weight and also may take up load space and may also add to the vehicles length, and may also take up some pay load.
With the presented invention it will eliminate such problems and will not add to the vehicles length, and loss of pay load is in part and not the hole ie. weight of separate vehicle.
According to the presented invention there are provided a wheted chassis type demountable fork lift vehicle, a chassis fitted with the means of stabilization roller wheel to the front of the chassis main beam, also fitted to the inner chassis is a slidable load lift attachement fitted so as the fold down into the main chassis when the trailerised position is requiredt also fitted to the chassis is the power/control and hydraulic system source, and also fitted to the control area is the means of control this may also be by way of remote control, also fitted to eh chassis is the fuel/oil store and seat and also the anti-roll bar.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to he accompanying drawing in which.
Fig. 1 shows a side perspective of the invention with the vehicle in its trailerised position, and also shows the secondary trailer landing legs, and also shows the lift stabilization roller wheel in its chassis lock down position.
Fig. 2 shows a side perspective of the invention in its demounted state, with the load lifting gear in a vertical position, and also show the control area/cab and anti-roll bars, and also shows the stabilization roller wheel, and also shows the lift forks, and also shows the rear of the trailer with the secondary landing legs down, and also shows the holding down holes in the trailers chassis, and also shows the secondary landinq leas inner eha.cr; slid.
Fig. 3 shows an elevated/general lay-out perspective with the lift gear in the horizontal position, and also shows the lifting gear inner slide and hydraulic rams, and also shows the control area/cab and also the fuel/oil store area.
Fig. 4 shows a frontal perspective of the demounted fork lift with its load lifting gear in the vertical position, and also shows the control area/cabs anti-roll bars, and also shows the stabilization roller wheel.
Fig. 5 shows a frontal/one side of the fork lift in its trailerised perspective, and also shows in part the trailers chassis with lock down attachement in its lock on position, and also show in part the fork lift forks in the horizontal position, and also shows the lifting gear inner slide, and also shows the stabilization wheel, and also shows the axle drive gear/steer with some gears exposed.
Fig. 6 shows a side perspective of the fork lift about to unload with stabilization roller wheel in a stabilized position, and also shows in part the trailer with its secondary landing legs.
Fig. 7 shows a side perspective of the fork lift loaded and with stabilization roller wheels off ground, and also shows the fork lift in its travelling position.
Fig. 8 shows an agled perspective of the stabilization roller wheels and its holding down assembly.
Fig. 9 shows the load lift inner slide, and also shows the hydraulic rams, and also shows the slide roller bearings used to move the slide e.c.t. along the main chassis.
Fig. 10 shows a typical axle drive/steer with some gears exposed, and also shows how the gearing selects the free wheel position need when the trailerised position is required.
