Wind-screens.-In an adjustable wind-screen, particularly for the rear seats of motor vehicles, of the kind in which the screen F is mounted on a pair of parallel rods C, D hinged to a bracket B at the rear of the front seat or to another fixed part of the vehicle, the screen is supported in its erected position against the force of gravity by means of compression springs acting in conjunction with each set of parallel rods and preferably located within telescopic arms L hinged at their upper ends N to the rods D and at their lower ends to the standards A carrying the brackets B. The point of connection N between the arm L and rod D is preferably arranged sc that, when the screen is folded down, the point N lies in advance of the line joining the point M and the pivots of the rods C, D, and the spring thus acts to retain the screen in its folded position. In a modification the telescopic arms L are connected at their lower ends to the rods C and at their upper ends to the screen F, while in a further modification the standards A and brackets B are replaced by a casing formed of canvas or like material on a met'al frame pivoted to the floor of the vehicle and adapted for use as a protective cover or apron.
