Folding seats; seat bottoms and backs.-In a seat of the kind in which the back B and the pivoted seat member A are hinged together and are so arranged that when the seat is unoccupied the weight of the back causes it to slide down grooves F and to rotate the seat to close it against the back, the seat and back members are mounted in metal trays T, with beaded edges, so that when the seat is unoccupied the edges of the two trays meet and keep the surfaces of the seat and back dry.
