Description

11 CoinSorting Device 1 The invention relates to a coin-sorting device
with a drivable coin feeder disc and with a circular sorting track, on which the coins to be sorted are moved, lying flat, in a sliding manner by a drivable brush, the bristles of which are arranged in ring form within the edge of the sorting track and reach as far as the coins lying next to one another at the edge of the sorting track and deliver the coins to coin fall-through orifices, the coin fall-through orifices corresponding to a coin size increasing in the direction of movement of thecoins and being equipped with counting devices for the coins.
In a coin-sorting device of this type (DE-2,829,285 C2), the coins to be sorted are delivered by a coin feeder disc and sorted on a following sorting track lying next to it in the same plane. For this, the coins pass onto the sorting track via a coin inlet lock and are moved on the sorting track by a brush with bristles arranged in ring form. The counting capacity of the known coin-sorting device is reduced as a result of the coin inlet lock and the deflection of the coins into another direction of movement. Furthermore, the form of construction with a coin feeder disc and sorting track located next to one another takes up a large amount of space, and therefore an appliance of this type has relatively large dimensions and is not easy to transport.
Starting from this state of the art, the object of the invention is to provide a coin-sorting device which, whilst having.the smallest possible dimensions, affords a high sorting and counting capacity and is easy to transport.
According to the invention, this object is achieved because within the sorting track the coin feeder disc is arranged 'offset eccentrically relative to this, because the outer circumference of the coin feeder disc 11 is tangent to the edge of the sorting track, because the coin-supporting surf ace of the coin feeder disc is at the same level as the sorting track, and because the coins pass a coin gap at the transition from the coin feeder disc to the sorting track.
The advantage of this solution is that a coin-sorting device designed in this way affords a very high counting capacity, whilst having the smallest possible dimensions, since, during the sorting and counting operation, the coin feeder disc and the brush run on the sorting track in the same direction of rotation, with the result that the coins do not have to be reversed in your (sic) direction of movement. Also. it has been possible for the outlay in terms of construction to be reduced as a result of the space-saving design.
The subclaims disclose advantageous embodiments of the invention, their features contributing to achieving best possible solution according to the invention.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated diagrammatically in the drawings. In these:
Figure 1 shows a view of the coin-sorting device, Figure 2 shows a cross-section through the coinsortingdevice, Figure 3 shows a top view.
The coin-sorting device 1 is built into a housing 2, into which coin containers 3, in which the different coin values are introduced counted, can be pushed. Keys 4 for operating the appliance and coin-value indicators 5 are provided on the.housing 2.
The coins 7 are placed on a coin f eeder disc 8 via a coin insertion orif ice 6. and these coins can be of different values (Fig. 1). The coin feeder disc 8 is mounted rotatably on vertically adjustable sliding or rolling bodies 9'which can be vertically adjusted by means of threads 10. On 'the drive shaft 11 there is a pressure sprihg 12 tor pressing the coin feeder disc 8 11 k is onto the sliding or rolling bodies 9. The coin feeder disc 8 is driven via a belt assembly 13, a gear 14 and a motor 15 which is arranged in the housing 2.
The coins 7 are delivered by the coin f eeder disc 8 to a circular sorting track 16 which is arranged eccentrically relative to the coin feeder disc 8 and on which the coins 7 are moved, lying f lat, in a sliding manner by a drivable brush 17, the bristles 18 of which are arranged in ring f orm within the edge 19 of the sorting track 16. The bristles 18 reach as f ar as the coins 7 lying next to one another at the edge 19 of the sorting track 16 and move these to coin fall-through orifices 20, 21, 22, 23. In the direction of movement of the coins 7, the coin fall-through orifices 20 to 23 are designed to correspond to an increasing coin size. Each coin fall-through orifice 20 to 23 is assigned a sensor 24 for the counting device.
Within the sorting track 16 the coin feeder disc 8 is arranged eccentrically relative to the disc, in such a way that the outer circumference of the coin feeder disc 8 is tangent to the edge 19 of the sorting track 16. At the same time, the coin-supporting surface 25 of the coin feeder disc 8 is formed at the same level as the sorting track 16.
In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in Figs. 2 and 3, the brush 17 is driven via a second belt assembly 26, via a coupling 27, the gear 14 and the motor 15. The coupling 27 used can be an electromagnetic coupling which, after a predetermined number of coins 7 of a particular sort, is disconnected by means of a switching pulse from - a coin counter 28 and stops the brush 17 and therefore the coin transport immediately.
So 'that no coins 7 lying on one another are delivered to the sorting track 16 by the coin feeder disc 8, between the lower edge 29 of the insertion orifice 6 designed as an annular body 30 and the coin feeder disc 8 there is a coin gap 31 which can be set to the thickest coin 7 to be sorted..The edge 29 extends parallel to the 11 4 - coin-supporting surface 25 of the coin feeder disc 8. As a result of the vertical adjustment of the coin feeder disc 8 by means of the threads 10, the coin gap 31 can be set accurately to the thickest coin 7, thus guaranteeing its passage.
As shown in Fig. 2, the edge 29 provided on the annular body 30 projects into the region of the bristles 18 of the annular brush 17, so that the bristles 18 are lifted off from the coins 7 in the region of transition of the coins 7 from the coin feeder disc 8 to the sorting track 16, the coins 7 being moved as a result of the rotational movement of the coin feeder disc 8. The annular brush 17 is mounted rotatably on supporting rollers 32, 33 and therefore takes over the transport of the coins 7 on the sorting track 16 only after the region of transition.
The coin f eeder disc 8 and the brush 17 can. rotate at high speed, thereby achieving a high output of the coin-sorting device according to the invention, the bearing pressure of the bristles 18 preventing coins 7 from being moved beyond the coin fall-through orifices 20 to 23.
