Abstract

Magnetic instruments.-The magnet system of a telephone receiver is adapted to be moved away from the diaphragm or armature against a spring e by a lever h that acts on the stem b depending from the magnet system a and is controlled by a device such as an adjustable screw o or a cam. The lever may be formed, as shown, with an enlarged opening k through which the stem b can be passed and with a slot i the sides of which engage grooves g in the stem b. The lever may be provided with notches n, n<1> in which projections on the fulcrum piece m engage, or with a hole through which passes the reduced end of a shouldered pin forming the fulcrum piece.
