Abstract

A portable massage device for applying vibrations to a bed via a galvanised sheet comprises an electric motor carrying eccentrically-mounted weights.

Description

SPECIFICATION Portable rocking vibrating massage device for divan bed Description of working principle of device.
With reference to plan. When electric is flowing through electric motor (1) causing the weight to spin, the weight (16) puts the electric motor (1) off centre causing the eletric motor (1) to vibrate or rock the galvanised iron sheet (10). The vibration or rocking is then transferred from the galvanised iron sheet (10) through the 15 mm copper tube (8) in to the spring mattress of the divan bed causing the mattress to rock or vibrate the rocking and vibrating can be speeded up or slowed down by turning the knob around on the adjusting current switch (5) speeding up the device vibrates, slowed down the device rocks the mattress.
For use with cots and prams Can be scaled down smaller and powered by battery for infant children because the rocking action has a calming effect on infants.
Method of placing the device between mattress and divan referring to plan The device is carried by the handle to the divan bed the end of the mattress is lifted then device is placed with the galvanised iron sheet (10) flat in between the mattress anc; divan base like a sandwich. The 13 amp plug is then pushed into the electric socket and switch on the person then lays on the bed with the controls (5) and (6) in their hand.
The rocking and vibrating can be speeded up or slowed down by turning the knob around on the adjusting current switch (5).

CLAIMS 1. A portable rocking vibrating massage device for divan bed comprising a galvanised sheet motor and weight mechanism can be placed under most divan beds and is provided with a current control switch and carrying handle.
2. A portable rocking vibrating massage device for divan bed as claimed in Claim 1,wherein can be placed under any divan bed.
3. A portable rocking vibrating massage device for divan bed as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 is provided with a current control switch for the person laying on the bed.
4. A portable rocking vibrating massage device for divan bed as claimed in Claim 2 or Claim 3 wherein the galvanised sheet which vibrates or rocks the mattress can be controlled.
5. A portable rocking vibrating massage device for divan bed as claimed in Claim 1 is soothing for aches, pains and similar ailments.
6. A portable rocking vibrating massage device for divan bed as claimed in any preceeding claim wherein it is provided with a carrying handle.
7. A portable rocking vibrating massage device for divan bed as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the weight mechanism can be adjusted for different strengths of mattresses.
8. A portable rocking vibrating massage device for divan bed substantially as described herein with reference to Figs. 1--4 of the accompanying drawings.
