Keyholes, obstructing; sliding bolts.-The key-- hole 5 on a safe or other door is blocked by a similarly shaped projection 12, Fig. 3, on a rocking and sliding bar 6 held in engagement by a lever 14 passing through a socket in a guide 7. Opening of the keyhole is effected by rotating a disc 18 in the direction of the arrow 35 bv means of a handle on the door which first releases the lever 14 and then rocks the bar 6 away from the keyhole by engagement of an arm 32 with a wedgeshaped member 33 on the bar, and further rota-- tion causes a projection 29 on the disc to engage a projection 30 on the bar and so slide it back. The disc 18 is locked against rotation by inserting a pin 34 at an obscure part of the door into a bar 25, teeth 24 on which engage teeth 23 on the disc. A projection 27 on the bar 25 engages a notch on the main bolt 1 to act as a further locking means. The main bolt may be withdrawn after the key is operated to withdraw the bolt 4 by teeth 21 on the disc 18 engaging teeth 22 on the main bolt. Rotation of the handle in theopposite direction causes the parts to resume the position shown in Fig. 1. Instead of the pin 34 a separate lock may be used for the bar 25 or the bar 6, which lock may be operated hydraulically, pneumatically or electrically.
