Abstract
A wire-bonding apparatus (10) which employs a winch-raised, spring-returned Z-movement plate (14) to appropriately locate a wire- axis-aligned, solenoid operated, wire feed-and-tear clamp 52 and a bonding horn 30 so that bonds can be quickly and effectively made upon devices located on an X-Y movement table (11). <IMAGE>
