Abstract

209,747. Peyrie, D. Jan. 10, 1923, [Convention date]. Tyre-inflating valves fitted with pressure relieving valves in addition to the usual non- return valves. The relief valve communicates with the interior of the tyre through channels bored in the wall of the valve casing. The non-return valve works in conjunction with a seat formed on the end of a tubular member B provided with a screwed nipple C for the attachment of the inflating pump. The member B is formed with a conical part D provided with packing rings F normally held against a conical seat F by a spring G held in position by a screwed plug H. In the event of abnormally high pressures arising the member D is lifted and the pressure relieved through passages I.
