Abstract

202,662. Cooke, A. Feb. 23, 1922. Conveyer-apparatus, injector. - In apparatus for mixing solids with liquids in definite proportions, the solid, such as chalk, is contained within a chamber 3 having sloping walls 6 through which passes a by-pass water pipe 9, 16 fitted with an injector 10 and leading to the throat 17 of a Venturi nozzle in the supply main 8. Surrounding the injector is a short tube 12 having holes 19 through which the chalk is drawn. The chalk is agitated by water emerging from inclined holes 18.
