Abstract

To provide an electrical contact layer 1a to 1d and a metal support 2, a powder consisting at least partly of metal and located in an aperture 4a to 4d of a die electric insulating mask 3 placed on the support 2, is compressed onto the support by a first electrode 8a, and an electric current is then passed through the compressed powder between the first electrode 8a and a counter-electrode 10a electrically connected to the support 2, thereby sintering the powder and welding it to the support without notably changing the mechanical properties of the support.
