Abstract

Apparatus for macerating the products comprises two parallel cylindrical rollers 17, 18 rotating in opposite directions at different speeds between which the product pass. The macerated products are then formed into a mat, if desired, by conveying the products between conveyor belts 24, 25 to a matting roller 27 adjacent to one of the conveyor belts. The thus formed mat of macerated material permits drying of the products within a few hours. <IMAGE>
