Abstract

In a disc brake of the sliding clamp member reaction type a clamp member 8 and a drag-taking member 6 are relatively movable axially on a pair of circumferentially spaced pin assemblies 13. Each pin assembly 13 comprises an inner element 14, and an outer hollow element 18 in which the inner element is slidably guided. The outer element 18 projects from the drag- taking member 6 into a blind bore 15 in the other member 8 in which the inner element 14 is housed, and a seal is located in a clearance between the bore 15 and the outer element 18. The seal may be an elastomeric ring 24 or a rolling diaphragm 30. <IMAGE>
