Abstract
A method of tracing both ends of an individual wire, from a plurality of wires, comprises an operator brushing the fingers of one or both hands over the adjacent ends of said plurality of wires while a part of the body of the operator makes contact with a voltage or current sensitive trigger circuit (right-hand side of drawing), the circuit being connected to the other end of the wire to be traced, and being associated with an alarm circuit (left- hand side of drawing) in such a manner that, when a finger touches the required wire end, the trigger circuit activates the alarm circuit to produce an audible (L/S) and/or visible signal, a tracking device for use in the method presenting probes which preferably have releasable fasteners or conducting bracelets at the free ends of respective cables. <IMAGE>
